Travel when H4 and H4 EAD application in in process

My H1 b was recently approved just for one more year ;so I am planning to file for both H4 and H4 EAD concurrently .We just booked for alaskan cruise and now i have a doubt if i can travel in the cruise when my H4 and EAD applications are in process?would highly appreciate a quick response.
