mitun2009
Hello, My fiancee(Phd in Biochemitry from India) had come to the US from India on J1 visa, in Oct 2018. Her J1 visa had a one year validity. She was in the US as a post-doc associate at one of the top tier universities. Unfortunately, she had to resign due to family emergency and had to return back to India in Jan2019. I'm not sure if the US university has cancelled her J1 visa now. I'm employed(IT sector) in the US on H1B visa which is stamped till Feb 2020. I plan to visit India next month for marriage and then get her to the US as a dependant on H4 visa. Do you think this is feasible or there would be issues in this? Thanks for your help. Quote Link to comment
xTDx
No issues. H4 is a correct visa classification for her to come as your dependent spouse and will be issued on its merit. Quote Link to comment
