H1B Extension and Tranfer after the expiry date

Hello, 

  Here is my situation:

   - My H1B expires on 10-Apr-2019

   - I94 expiring on 20-Apr-2019

   - I 485 pending, PD current since last year, still waiting for gree card approval

   - GC EAD has expired in Jan 2019 and filed for renewal in Jan 2019 after the expiry date. Waiting to receive EAD

  - Employement last date with current employee is 5-Apr-2019

   - Got a job offer from another company and planning to join them.

  I want my new company to do H1 transfer and extension. And don’t want to join them on EAD. Company is ok to do H1 transfer.

Background checks and other formalities might take longer in the new company.

My question is, can new company do H1 Extension and Transfer after current visa expiry date which is 10-Apr-2019 or extension and tranfer must be filed before this date or else I lose H1? Thank you!
