H1B Amendment still in process planning to travel India. I have I797C copy

Hello Everyone, 

1. Currently I am on H1B visa valid until 2021 and planning for India trip this month. Currently my employer start H1B amendment process and I got the receipt (I797C copy) .This is my first India trip so I have to go for Stamping. Will it be safe to travel by this time. I have my previous approve H1B I797A copy and Present H1B I797 C Receipt copy. 

2. My wife also have H4 visa stamping, Will it be have a chances to get H4 visa to her. 

Please suggest me on this your comments will be more important to me.

I-797C has not meaning - it is just receipt. I-797A and I-797B are approvals with I-797A has I-94 attached at the bottom.

Your stamping will be based on I-797A approval that is valid till 2021.

Your wife also need to accompany with you for her H4 visa.

Both stamping are mandatory to enter US.
