H4, H4EAD - Extension Pending - Alternatives?

My H4and H4-EAD applications have been pending at Vermont SC since last Sep 2018. Current dates are Dec-2017.

With the current situation around h4 ead, is it advisable to withdraw these applications, get H4 stamped from Canada (have canadian tourist visa) and then return and refile H4-EAD application? Or wait it out until 18-Mar to see if any news publishes on the H4 EAD revoke process and then decide.

Spouse's H1 petition has been approved earlier this year.
