skelly
Hi, I am a recent MBA graduate and I have accepted an offer with EY. They are currently preparing my file for 2020 H1B petition. However, they are not filing my case under the Master's quota, because they say that the company policy is to have the official proof of degree completion by March 1st, 2019. I will not be receiving this official proof of degree completion from my school before 8th March 2019. Therefore EY is telling me they will be filing my case under the regular cap. This truly hurts my chances in the lottery, not to mention I only graduated earlier than all my fellow American classmates for the sole purpose of being able to enter the Master's quota this year. Is anyone facing the same problem? Link to comment
JoeF
The H1 is the company petition. If you don't like it you would have to find another employer. Link to comment
Provence
The employer holds and owns the H1b petition. If you don't like the way they do things, no one is forcing you to stick with them. Link to comment
gopalakrishnach
I donot see whats wrong with EY here. They are going as per the law and if you would have got course completion certificate before hand they are willing to do under Masters quota. I guess you can call your university and explain them your case and see what they can do and communicate this to EY.. Hope everything goes well.. Link to comment
