Hello everyone,

I applied for OPT-STEM Extension on MAY 2018 which is still pending until now.My initial OPT got expired on July 11,2018.As, per USCIS guidelines i can work for up to 180 days when my case is in pending status.

1.)I raised a service request and got a reply stating my case is under security and background checks and they cannot predict how long it takes.

2.)I am not currently working as i finished the 180 days duration .will i be eligible to work even after 180 period as my case is in still pending status?

3.)will i be able to apply for H1b even when my case is in pending status.If so ,what are the options ?
