Holding Valid H4 EAD along with H1B

Hi,

My wife is currently on H1B, which is valid until 12/2019. Previously when she was working on her previous H1B (valid from 09/2018 to 12/2018) she got her H4 EAD approved, which has a validity until 10/2020. Now we are planning to do a COS from H1B to H4 so that she can work on H4EAD. So, my question here is, if she do a COS from H1B to H4,  can she work on previously approved H4EAD, which is valid until 10/2020.

She has to get a new EAD, since the previous one b came invalid when she changed to H1.

You would need to file for H-4 and H-4 EAD. You cannot use existing H-4 EAD card.
