Hi all,

My friend applied for his H1b extension and got an RFE, his 240 days are soon getting over. But his company is filing an amendment for his promotion that happened in the meanwhile and now the company is saying since they are going to file the amendment and the RFE response together, he can stay beyond the 240 days and work in the US. Is this a correct interpretation of the US rule?
