kushi0509
Hi All, My H1B got approved recently. I have plans of moving back to India for good. I have not got my H1B visa stamping with my current employer still. Should I get my H1B stamped in India and enter US once before I quit my job in US? Or visa stamping is not required at this point? and in future if I have an employer in US willing to transfer my H1B visa, I can go for stamping then? Will this be allowed? Kindly Advice. kingkoti
H1B stamping is optional but better to have it in your passport. A scanned copy of the stamping is required during the transfer of H1B in the future. Yes, if the new employer is willing to transfer within 365 days of your last working day with the present employer. Link to comment

That is not at all correct. Firstly the word "transfer" does not apply when you are in India. In future any potential H1 employer would need to file a H1 petition for you non cap and on approval you would get the Visa stamp and come over. No need for a visa stamp now specially if you do not intend to continue with the present employer. Link to comment
