Due to change in Job Title and Client Location, my employer filed Amendment and received Amendment Receipt. Questions: Can my wife (on H4) go for H4 stamping while H1 Amendment is in Process? If yes, do we need to mention both I 797 receipt numbers (current H1 Approval Receipt # and Amendment Receipt #) in DS 160? Thanks in advance! Link to comment
luck2u Posted February 6, 2019 Report Share Posted February 6, 2019 FYI... 1. Yes, H4 can attend for visa while primary H1B amendment is in pending. 2. In DS-160, H4 applicant can fill existing H1B approval notice details. But H4 applicant needs to carry H1B Amendment Receipt Notice & supporting documents that are filed for Amendment.
