Leaving employer while spouse follow to join is pending

Hi all,

I have received my EB2 green card in early Dec 2018. My spouse's I-824 has been approved the same time. His application (DS-260 and other required documents) has been submitted 2 weeks ago to National Visa Center in Canada (my spouse is Canadian). I plan to leave the employer who sponsored me due to corporate restructure with some coming mass layoff. I plan to work for another employer. I have been with the current employer since Jan 2015.

My question is: if I quit now, will my spouse's application be impacted (e.g. will it be rejected or will it be delay significantly  for a few years etc..)?

Typically, how long is the process for my spouse, from now to being interviewed and get the green card?

This should not impact the application. I would think a few months for processing and a short while later the GC.
