DKPillai
Hi, I am currently in F2 status and planning to do my Master's here. My husband got his H1b approved and started from Oct 2018 and hasn't stamped yet. If I go to US consulate in Canada or India for F1 visa interview and it gets rejected. Can I enter the US with the existing F2 visa(Valid till Jun 2020)? DKPillai Link to comment
JoeF
If your husband is on H1 your F2 is invalid. If you are in the US you are illegal. You can NOT enter with an F2 visa. You would have to either get an F1 or an H4 to enter. Link to comment
prad0211
If your husband started his H1B in October, your F2 is not valid anymore as it would have gotten changed to a H4. Without a F1 or a H4 stamping, you wouldn't be able to enter the US once you exit. Link to comment
