Change of Status From F2 to H4

Hi all,

Earlier i was on F1 status and my wife and son are on F2 status  staying in US and F2 status  is valid till June 30 2019. My H1 got approved on received the notice on  December 12 2018 and the validity period is given on I-797 is October 1st 2018 to December 31st 2020. When filling the H1 , my employer some how forget to mention my wife name and son as dependents . Now i need to apply the change of status to my dependents .

My Question is :

1.  How much time does the USCIS takes for COS Processing ?

2. As my H1 got kicked on , does my wife and son are OUT OF Status now?

3. Is there any time limit (days) that i can have to apply COS for them?

 

Could any one provide the information on this ?

1. Since they are out of status now, it may be a good idea to leave and return with the H4 visa.
