H1 Transfer and visa stamping on Passport

Hi,

Please suggest the below topic.

I have X company H1B Visa valid until 2020,  Another Y company processing H1B Transfer. However my current I94 Valid until 2020 as per current I-797.

My password Visa stamping expired on Aug 2018, However in my current LCA I94 status valid until 2020.

Can i join Y company with the H1B filed Receipt notice ?  Please suggest or is there any Risk involved ?

 

Note : I heard that my visa stamping in passport shouldn't be expired ? is that true.  However my current I-797 approval until  2020 including the updated I94 status on my X Company petition.

Visa stamping only required to enter USA. 

You can join new company on receipt notice but in worst case if your transfer petition will be denied you will have to leave country.
