Question regarding J-1 visa

Hi,

I am currently working in US on H-1B visa (valid till Dec 2020). My employer filed for my GC in EB-2 category (PD: April 2013) . I have an approved I-140. I am getting married in India next year. My fiancée is an Indian citizen and intends to work as a Postdoctoral Fellow after she moves to US. She came to US for a conference in 2016 on B1/B2 visa which is valid till 2026. She came to US in 2013 for a short term exchange program on J-1 visa.
Based on my research, most international researchers work in the US on J-1 visa. Will my fiancee be able to get the J-1 visa considering my GC application is in process ? Should my fiancee come to US after marriage on H-4 or her B-1/B-2 visa considering she will apply for J-1 visa later ? Also, if we apply for H-4 EAD after she comes here and later if H-4 EAD gets suspended, will she able to change her visa status to J-1 in order to continue working ?

Please advice. Thanks!
