mitajain Posted December 21, 2018 Report Share Posted December 21, 2018 I had my visa interview on Dec 11, 2018 at the NewDelhi consulate and VO said that my visa is approved. Since then the online status is showing as "Administrative Processing" with last update date as Dec 11, 2018. Is anyone else from Dec 11 facing the same issue? Link to comment

TJKUMAR Posted January 7, 2019 Report Share Posted January 7, 2019 Hello, I had a visa interview on 21st Dec. on 4th Jan I got an email that the passport is ready for pickup, but the visa status was still an admin process. When i open my passport, i found 221G mentioning to reappear for the visa interview. Reappear for a visa interview is normal? Is anybody else having the same situation? Link to comment
xTDx Posted January 7, 2019 Report Share Posted January 7, 2019 Consulate officers say "Visa is approved" quite often than not and the cases go to weeks long admin processing more often than not. A verbal approval is nice to hear but that's not what happens a lot of times. The only thing left now is to wait. Unfortunately that's how it is at this hour. Things are further delayed because of govt. shutdown . Consulate may need further information from different agencies in some of the visa cases and they might be waiting for that info.
