R V 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2018 I am currently working in the US on H1-B visa. This is my 6th year. I plan to quit my job in May 2019. Does anyone know how much time do you get to leave the country after the last day at work? Thanks. Share this post Link to post

pontevecchio 12 Report post Posted December 20, 2018 If you need time to wind up, apply for a change of status to B2 clearly stating why and showing proof of funds . In the meantime, leave as soon as you are able to even if the COS is not decided. That will take months. Make sure to carry the COS documents at all times in this case. Share this post Link to post
