Arrested For Drug Possession

Hey,
I'm new in this forum, and I need your help because my brother is in a trouble.
He is charged with drug possession. Last day, he went to Toronto with friends for attending a wedding party. His friends too accompanied him during the travel. Unfortunately, cops checked their vehicle. They found cocaine from the car and arrested them instantly. Actually, it was one of his friends and he had no idea.

We are from Toronto, and he is planning to go to the US next year for higher studies. Now he is charged with drug possession!I'm totally confused. How can I prove his innocence? Anyone know what's the worst that we can expect? 
Anyway, I'm planning to visit a nearby defence lawyer. If you have any similar experiences, please share it.

You cannot prove anything. He needs a Canadian Lawyer to represent him. The effect on being able to enter the USA depends on your Brothers age and the disposition of the case. His first step is to negotiate the current difficulty.

Getting arrested and charged with drug possession will be certain to debar him entry to the US. The first thing you would need to get done is lawyer-up and get his name cleared. Once that is sorted out, he can think of entering the US and pursuing higher studies.
