srivija2007
First of all, thank you for taking time to read my post and for willing to chime in.I am currently on H4 visa valid till Aug 2021, stamped and currently residing in US. Thru our known company I recently received approval for H1B petition ( This was done in consular processing since my H1B was filled when I was in India in Aug 2018). To activate my H1b I was planning to go to Canada/Mexico for stamping. This will be my first time H1B stamping. I'll make sure I have all required documents. Is it advisable to go for H1B visa stamping in Canada or Mexico instead of home country (India). We are not sure if is risky to go to Canada or Mexico in my situation as I have been living in the states for almost 12 years now.Thank you and Please Advise.Srisri Link to comment
care_candidate
Canada is preferred but I heard many people do it in Mexico. In Canada, they typically consider you are genuine candidate. There is however always some risk as TCN. Link to comment
