Government shutdown

Recommended Posts

In case government shuts down in next few days (December 2018), will application processing goes on?

Heard that some important functions of government will keep working - Don't know how important immigration to them.

Any idea?

It depends. Usually DHS and its agencies like USCIS do not stop their workings. USCIS purely runs on application fees and do not usually need government funding. But you never know.

USCIS is self-funded, so will keep working during a shutdown. However, immigration processes that involve other departments will be delayed by a shutdown.
