H1B Approval for ECE background

Hi Team,

Is ECE (Electronic and communication engineering ) considers as a computer science branch only for H1B extension ??

Do we need to provide any further details on the roles being performed now to the subjects we have studied in ECE while filing for H1B extension ??

While initial filing it may not be necessary. Not everyone with ECE degree is having trouble with approval. I know someone who had very recently got their approval without any issue.

Use  educational evaluation to evaluate all the computer related courses in ECE.

ECE is NOT equal to CS, that is why its called CS and ECE.  when you get your degree/courses evaluated you may or may not find equivalence to CS courses. 

also it depends on how your job duties are tied to your course work.
