ParkMin
Hello, I have two questions. Please help me. 1. I came to U.S with F2 with my husband (F1). I got the chance to get the H1b visa to work for 6 months, and this visa is just for 6 months. After finish 6 months, I chanted my status to F2 from husband's university. I got new I-20 (dependent) but I did not do I-539 form. I thought I don't need it. Do I need to do I-539 form even though his university changed my status with I-20? 2. I have a plan to visit my country this month and I will get the stamp for F2. Do you think do I need to worry about getting F2 visa? Even though I got H1b visa Thank you. Please share your opinion. I am really nervous about my situation. Link to comment
pontevecchio
You needed to change status. When did your H1 I94 expire? Link to comment
JoeF
An I-20 doesn't change the status. If you didn't file an I-539 you are out of status. Link to comment
