COS -HI to H4-When should employee stop working

Hi,

I have H1B valid till March 2019.I am planning to to do COS to H4 and apply for EAD together.Below are my questions.

1.Should I stop working when I receive the receipt,

2.If  COS  to H4 is taking time to get approved,Am I eligible to work till March 2019 ,and stop working when H1 expires.?

3.Can I go for stamping  if my H4 is approved and EAD is still in progress?

1. If you want to.

2. You can work till the COS is approved or March,2019 whichever is sooner.

3. You can go for the visa stamp any time. Nothing called H4 approval.

1. Not necessary.

2. Yes you can work until March 2019 if your case is still in process.

3. Yes, you can go even now. You just need your spouse H-1 copy. That's it.
