H1 Amendment pending - Can I apply for spouse H4 with previous approval

Hi,

My previous amendment is approved and valid until Sep 2019. Since I changed client and location, there is a new amendment filed in May 2018, which is still in processing.

I want to file H4 for my spouse and kid. Can I apply with my previously approved petition number or should I wait until my new petition is approved.

Please advise.

I think you can file with your present amendment receipt number. USCIS will wait until a decsion has been made on your latest amendment before deciding on H-4's.
