Hello ,

I am on H1B Visa and my wife on H4 Visa. I got H1B extension very recently.

Am planning to sponsor a Visiting Visa to my Mother In Law.

Need your help on following questions.

**My wife passport has her father name as below in her passport.

Father Name : Venkateswara Rao

But in my 'Mother in law' passport, we have following name in her passport ( Name of Spouse field) .

Name of Spouse : Venkateswarlu.

Do they check my wife passport and my mother in law Passport ?

Do we need to change my mother in law passport to reflect Venkateswara Rao (same as My wife passport) ?

**How much balance needs to be shown in her bank account and she is house wife.

She doesnot have any source of Income. She doesnot have any Properties on her name.

Can i sponsor a Visiting Visa to my Mother In Law in this situation?

I would really appreciate if you can provide some help on this.

There is no sponsoring for visitor visas, as has been explained here thousands of times.
Bank balance also doesn't matter. It is well known that money can be moved in and out of a bank account in seconds.
The ONLY thing that matters is that the applicant can convince the consular officer that he or she will return to the home country. Again, that's the ONLY thing that matters. Forget all the stuff about sponsoring or bank balance or any other of the stuff that gets mentioned by clueless people on other forums.

Use common sense. It is THAT simple.
