mckysk
Hi, Thank you for your valuable time in helping me. Much Appreciated. I got laid off on Oct 19th by Employer A and been on 60 day grace period since. I accepted a new offer from Employer B on Nov 9th and plan to join them based on FedEx receipt notice around Nov 26th. I have a valid I-94 until Sept 2019. My question is: I will have used about 37 days of grace period before joining and if the new company Employer B were to end the contract and lay me off on say April 30th 2019 (and I do not get the H1B COE transfer approval by then), will I get another 60 day grace period or I will have the remaining 23 days only from the previous grace period or I will go out of status immediately? Thank you very much once again. Link to comment
JoeF
You can NOT join based on a mail carrier notice. You absolutely have to wait for the receipt notice from USCIS. A FexEx receipt notice means nothing. It could be an empty envelope mailed... Link to comment
mckysk
Thank you JoeF for the reponse. I'll wait for the receipt notice and then join. Would you be able to please help answer the grace period question as well? Thank you in advance for your time and help. Link to comment
