Can I go for renewal stamping 7 months before my Visa Expiry

Greetings!

I have a question.

I am travelling to India in the month of December 2018 for 4 weeks, I changed employer this year & my new I797 is approved until 2021.

My Stamped Visa in my passport with my old employer is Valid until July 2019.

My question is can I go for stamping 7 months prior to date of stamped Visa expiry?
