H1B ammendment while RFE is pending for response

August 9, 2018 : H1B extension + ammendment filed in Normal processing

Sept 11, 2018 : Conversation to premium 

Sept 19, 2018 : I94 expired 

Sept 20, 2018 : RFE received for client letter and other documents

Yesterday I got to know that my current client will be ending contract with my employer in next month or two.

Queries:

1. Considering my I94 is already expired, is it advisable for my current employer to file new ammendment (bridge petition? or something) for a different client?

2. Any alternative to client letter if current  client is not ready to provide client letter?

3. What are the chances approval if RFE is responded without client letter?

Note: My employer is not ready to share actual RFE letter from USCIS but just provided me list of documents they need to respond to RFE.
