Traveling when first time H1B visa application is pending

Hi, 

I am currently on H4 visa with H4 EAD. My H4 visa is valid until Sep 2019. This year I got selected in H1B  lottery (non masters quota). It was filled as change of status. I have still have not received the approval for this H1B application, we are passed October 1st now. I have some travel plans to India in November 2018. Here are my questions

a) Will change to status application be changed to consular option since I will travel before visa is approved?

b) If the visa is approved when I am in India, will I have to get H1B stamped before coming back?

c) If the visa is not approved until I get back, will there be any issues to enter on H4 visa?
