H4 EAD Extension

Hi,

I am on H1B visa with employer 1 and my H1B , my wife's H4 and H4 EAD was approved until 12/22/2019. Recently i changed my employer and got my H1, H4 extensions approved until 4/29/2021 however H4 EAD was not applied for extension. 

I read online that H4 EAD extensions are applied before 180 days before it gets expired but not sure. In this case, I am i eligible to reapply for H4 EAD extension considering my H1, H4 visa validity until 4/29/2021 and present speculations with H4 EAD cancellation in next few months?

what should be best course of action here.

You can only apply for H-4 EAD extension 180 days before the EAD expiry.
