IWP Delhi visitor visa renewal

My parents submitted their application for visitor visa renewal via drop box ( IWP) at Delhi consulate on sept 14. So far, the status still shows “Your passport is still with the embassy/ consulate”. Does anyone know how long it usually takes for a decision to be made?
