L1B- Amendment required for relocating from location A to location B

Hi,

Need a guidance or suggestion -

I am in L1b individual visa, currently working in sanjose,CA. And planning to relocating from San JoSe,CA to Charlotte,NC.

I will be working for the same client, same salary, same project in same client office at Charlotte.

Do we have to file an amendment ?

Because for L1B, Some of the folks says  amendment is not required when relocating to Charlotte when it’s same client,same salary and same project on L1B.
