H1b receipt date

Hi there,

My attorney said she had sent out my H1b petition on the 7th of September for premium processing. I received the receipt notice yesterday that said my petition was received on the sept 12th. What is this delay of 5 days? Will mine be processed under premium, as the cut off was sept'11? It's a change of employer.

USCIS logs the actual receipt date at their office, check with your attorney on what kind of mail service they had sent (FedEx / UPS or USPS etc.)

My petition too, was sent on Sep 7th in premium. I haven't received receipt number yet. Still waiting on it.

In your case, check with your attorney if the premium cheque was encased by USCIS. If so, you are good.
