HSRAKTU
Hi, I had planned to travel to India in October. On checking my I797, I discovered that the company name has been misspelled. It is a minor error - Standard has been misspelled as Standardd with a double "d". On contacting the company legal team, they communicated that they will seek correction from USCIS and regarding travel, since it is a minor error at USCIS's end it should not impact the consulate appointment. They asked me to carry a copy of the petition and show it to the officer if he asks. I am still contemplating, Would it be wise to travel without the corrected document? On second thoughts it is indeed a minor error. Please help!!!!!!! Link to comment
care_candidate
Most likely it won't get recognized at POE. If you have enough time for correction, you should do it otherwise carry all documents that show correct name. Link to comment
