I have h1 which is valid till oct 1 st.But Changed status to H4.If I need to convert back to h1 through other employer,can I work on the reciept or do I have to wait till the new H1 is approved?

No. You need to wait for approval as it is a change of status from H-4 to H-1.

I heard from someone that since my H1 is still active,I can do h4-h1 change of status and paraalely apply for h1-h1 transfer and then with h1-h1 reciept i can work.Are there any possibilities like that?

That someone is wrong. As you are in H4 status, you need to wait for the approval of the H1 petition before starting work. Nothing gets transferred. A "transfer" means another employer filing and getting a non cap H1 petition approved.

For getting a H4 EAD you need to be in H-4 status. How can you apply for H-4 EAD when you are also applying for COS from H-4 to H-1. You are unnecessarily confusing yourself.

No. It needs to be approved. Just receipt is not enough.

I thought of applying H4 EAD and h4-h1 parallely since i have a client waiting for me.have employer also.So Whichever approves first(h4 ead or h1),thought of going with that and revoking the other one which is not approved.

In h4 to h1 transfer since my status is still in h4,Thought of applying EAD.

Wont it work?Want to make a decison fast.Please help
