what does it mean for priority date does not reflect earlier retained priority dates

HI,

I have an approved I-140 with EB2 process having priority date in May 2011. Last month my company filed another I-140 application in EB1 category along with I-1485. I got receipt for I-485 and the priority date in AUG 2018.  it was mentioned on the I-485 receipt as " Please note that if a priority date printed on this notice , for priority date does not reflect earlier retained priority dates".

Can any one help me to understand this note. I didn't get receipt for my new I-140. It will go to my company and they didn't share with me.
