Child turning 18 and applying for citizenship

I am planning to apply for citizenship and my child is going to turn 18 in April. My child also has a green card. I have some questions

1. Is it  possible to expedite the naturalization process?

2. What are my options if my child turns 18 before I get my citizenship?

2. In that case your child's citizenship is not related to  yours. He/she can, if he/she chooses to, apply for naturalization on his/her own as an adult with N-400, immediately upon turning 18, or at any time afterwards, assuming he/she has been a permanent resident for 5 years.
