egopal
I received my Green card in Nov 18, 2013. I like travelling and was out on vacation for 2 months every calendar year. I resided more than 30 months in US and more than 182 days every year. Can I file my Naturalization application now, as per the USCIS web site I am eligible to file my application on 08/20/2018, 90 days before the 5 year period. Can I apply now? Or Do I need to stay 5 years before applying for Naturalization which means I need to wait for another 10 months (my vacation days)? I did not travel in the last three months. Kindly clarify. newacct
Yes, you should be able to apply now, if you have never gone away for more than 6 months in a single trip. Link to comment
