asahamed
I have b1/b2 visa which I got in 2015 to attend my sisters convocation. In January 2018 I got my F2 visa and went to US to live with my spouse. In August 2018 I returned back to INdia and applied for F1 visa for masters in public health but was denied twice with 214(b) slip. ( I have a masters in dentistry in India ) I didn’t go back to US since my husbands H1B kicks in by October. I am going to apply for H4 with my husband and planning to appear with him for the interview. 1) Will my recent rejection affect my H4 application? 2) In case Iam rejected can I travel to US on b1/b2 and apply for B1/b2 COS to H4 ? No. H-4 depends on your spouse H-1 credibility. 2. You can. Link to comment
Provence
Past visa rejections do not hamper future visas, provided there is no misrep or fraud. No, you should not travel to the US on a b1b2 with the intent to COS. That is visa fraud. Link to comment
