H1/L1 Cooling Off Period

I need help understand cooling off period for H1/L1 clock reset. I was on H1B and came back from in July 2108 due to family reason. My H1B was valid and completing 6th year in 31/1/2019. Actually i may have to travel USA on Business visa. My company will file L1A for me, so i just want to know that will this create a problem for clock re-sent. Does clock re-set require continuous of 365 days outside of USA or just stay outside of USA for 365 days will reset clock? Please help on this.
