H4 to B2 Change of status

Hi,

I am filing amendment of work location and role change client and proj remains same.  My VISA is valid till 2019 May.  My wife is pregenant and in 6 month. Doctor approved her travel to new location but, the problem is with the new no RFE rule my amendment might go to denial directly. This might be at the time of delivery or just after the baby is born. If so, my employer immigration team is saying I have to move back to prevous location and file amendment for the same client or different client but, my wife should accompany me. I have friends and family in  the new location who might be able to support for 7 days or so in my absence.

What options will I have at that time? Can i change her status to B2 or ask USCIS with doc certificate she is not fit to travel.
