sannisha
Hi , My wife recently moved to USA on H4 Visa and has been supporting work remotely for an MNC with offices located in US as well . The company now is ready to file her L1B visa. Please let me know what are the steps ?, can her L1 B be filed while she is present in USA or does she has to go back to the country where she is on payroll ? What are the forms she has to file to convert from H4 to L1 B? Thanks a Lot. Link to comment
JoeF
On H4, she is not allowed to work at all. Working illegally means she is out of status, which makes it very hard to file anything while she is I the US. L1s are nowadays scrutinized, due to abuse. Link to comment
Provence
She doesn't have an EAD. She cannot work, not even in a supporting role. Link to comment
pontevecchio
Working here without work authorization is not recommended. She should stop at once. As regards your other query, the company will file. This may help https://my.uscis.gov/exploremyoptions/l_visas_l_1a_and_l_1b_for_temporary_workers Link to comment
