L1 B Cooling off period - 6 months possible?

Iam on L1 B Visa. I will be max out by Dec2019 on my L1 B Visa. I do not have H1b. If i had to stay outside US before applying for new L1B, what is the cooling off period. I will be coming back for same project which Iam working in. Since the L1b reapplying on same project, will the cooling off period can be reduced from 1 year to 6 months?

You have to be abroad for at least 1 year. No exception.
