New i94 has reduced validity, filing for extension, do I need to leave ?

Hi

i have received approval for my amendment but has reduced validity till end of Sept’18. Though my employer has initiated extension, if I don’t get it before expiry of new validity, do I need to leave the country and only come back if it’s approved or I can wait here in US and continue working till I get the result of extension.

You can continue working until 240 days.
