Porting I-140 priority date for adjustment of status

I have a query regarding adjustment of priority date for my green card. My priority date through EB1 is Aug 14, 2017. And my husband had filed his green card in 2015 in EB2 and his priority date is Aug 12, 2015.

Can I port to his priority date which is 2 years earlier, given the current trend of retrogression that is happening even in EB1 cases?

Both of us have Indian citizenship.

No, you can not use somebody else's PD.

I read a news recently where it was mentioned that the wait time to get green card in EB1 category currently is 6 years. Is that correct?

The wait times are in the monthly Visa Bulletin. You can Google that. I haven't checked what the current backlog is.

Please look up the current VISA BULLETIN and that will give you the current wait. The waiting periods are not written in stone. Look at the bulletin after November to get a better handle on the wait.

A huge USCIS/NVC backlog, and an ever increasing applicant volume, will only make waits longer.

In addition it is easier to send people to the Moon and maybe Mars for a country built by Immigrants to allocate appropriate resources to the process of Immigration.
