Valid VISA New I797

My visa stamp is valid until March 2021. However, I have a new I797 (I-140 approved) with start date as Oct 1st, 2018. My 6 year H1B expires on Sep 30, 2018. Should I apply for new visa stamp or can I reuse the older visa valid until 2021 at port of re-entry?

You can reuse old visa.

You can use the old valid visa together with the new approval notice to enter.
