Family Based Green Card from Sister to Brother

Hi, 
I am currently on H1B. my sister is a US citizen and she is willing to sponsor my green card. my employer is also willing to apply for my green card under the EB3 category.

my question is can I apply for the family based green card and the employment-based green card simultaneously? 

Do we have any issues if we apply simultaneously?

Sure you can. But the wait time for family category 4, sibling of a US citizen, is 14+ years.
