H1B Amendment denied but i94 valid

Hi,

I applied for my H1B extension last year which got approved and it is valid till 2020. However, there is a typo in my last name in the I797 petition and hence my employer suggested to go for an amendment. The amendment was filed but it got denied after RFE based on 'Speciality Occupation'.

1. Can I continue to stay in US?

2. My employer is suggesting to go for another H1 amendment, in that case what are my options to stay in US?

3. If I have leave the country, how long do I have?
