H1 transfer - what if approved I-140 is revoked by my current employer

Recommended Posts

I have been with my current employer for 7+ years and have been working as a contractor at different client locations till now. I have accepted a full-time employment offer with a US-based company; they have applied for an H1 transfer and have obtained the receipt notice. If everything goes well and I start working for my new employer, would the future visa extensions go on well based on my previous approved I-140 even if it is revoked? My current employer might revoke the approved I-140 when I resign and my future employer might take some time to file an immigrant petition for me. The situation might be like my approved I-140 is revoked and new I-140 (new employer) not filed yet. Please advise.
